We’ve enjoyed a ton of success, and we’ve done it while being disadvantaged in almost every way compared with other universities. We should be very proud of what this school has accomplished in athletics.

Taking a coach out of the NBA, throwing them headlong into college recruiting, culture, scheme, and especially at BYU, and expecting him to have a winning record in the second hardest league in the country with someone else’s players and two true freshman starting, and calling it a failure if he doesn’t is genuinely insane.

With the adjustment this ought to be, I will be THRILLED to scrape into the tourney. And no recruits aren’t going to change their mind about playing in an NBA system with an NBA coach, they also know it’s an adjustment and frankly they’re still gonna get paid.
