2 weeks ago, I got a message from my work computer that it needed to install updates and restart. (I work remotely, so this message was from my virtual machine.)

I clicked OK, and let it do its thing.

This update/restart changed several of my GUI settings, so I changed them back. However, since then, that computer restarts itself every night overnight, which resets all those settings. I checked with my team, and several others are experiencing the same thing.

I submitted a ticket. The person it was assigned to said that another person had submitted a ticket with the same issue, and he hadn't been able to figure it out, so he was escalating the issue to infrastructure.

Someone from infrastructure replied this morning with various screenshots showing the uptime on my computer as over 12 days, so his verdict was that my computer was not in fact rebooting as I had stated in my ticket. He kicked the ticket to some other department.
