BYU returns well over half of snap getters on both sides of the ball. The major positions of need remained in the trenches by needing to replace Keim, Pay, and the entire defensive line. BYU responded by adding:
- 2 underclassmen defensive ends with a combined 68 offers out of HS
- Michigans starting LT
- A FCS center who hasn’t given up a sack in 3 years
- Utahs #1 DT
