The NBA and NFL keep acting like future expansion teams in Mexico or Europe would be a good idea
Meanwhile, the Toronto Blue Jays are owned by Rogers Communications and have reportedly had $700m+ offers to Shohei Ohtani and Juan Soto the past two offseasons, and also have been turned down by a handful of other free agents like Corbin Burnes. None have actually entertained signing there, they just use them to bid up the price and Toronto ends up with nobody.

Nobody wants their Canadian money, and Toronto is like a 80 miles from the US border.

But the NFL and NBA are going to draft players to live in Mexico and Europe and pretend free agents will sign there? Be serious.
