Wasn't there a QB at Tennessee who got the money and then quit and never played? Personally we are better off going after players that have experience and bringing them in like Lassiter. It takes 2-3 years to see these kids develop in football and may never get there.

Bring in talented kids that have the experience and will make an impact. We can offer than more money than say a UAB, UTEP or whatever, and it won't cost us millions of dollars.

As mentioned a guy like Ryder Lyons is the exception. Do you pay Texas / Manning money to have him here. I say yes that is worth the risk, but not for many players in football. Lots of good talent out there with experience.
