He was only in his late 40s. I never met him, but we got to know each other by exchanging board mails over the years. We both grew up in the Holladay area of Salt Lake City. I reached out to him a couple of months ago and he informed me of a grim cancer diagnosis. The guy possessed a sharp wit, which was often on display in his political posts. He loved BYU sports (obviously) and he was a great dad to his two children. I'll miss him.
