saw it wasn't registered (well, expired). That doesn't seem true that it's not registered until the stickers on on the plate - that's just a convenience. It's registered, you have the receipt, you have the paper in the glove box. It's registered in the system, which is what counts.

And not moving for 3 days, that seems like an HOA thing than a gov't thing - that's ridiculous, esp. after being buried in snow.
