I'm locked into it because it's what my work offers. They pay part of the premiums. Between me and my company it's somewhere around $20K a year for my family to be covered by the cheapest, high deductible, high hassle plan. I get almost none of that value back.

My wife recently needed surgery for back pain and headaches. UHC won't cover it, why should they? They don't honor the agreement they signed up to. I'm locked in, I have no other recourse. Cost us thousands out of pocket. And you know what? They are all the same.

My daughter broke her arm and the urgent care screwed us over because the X-ray place they sent us to had some computer-email malfunction and couldn't send the x-rays over, so they made us go over to the ER and it turned into this nightmare thousands of dollars more than it should have been. UHC was completely useless when we tried to address it. Didn't matter how I explained to them over and over how they were getting over-charged for this as well as us, and they needed to come down on the service providers and fix it. Several appeals later, and nothing. No help whatsoever. They stole dozens of hours of my time and my wife's. AM I NOT PAYING YOU TO TAKE CARE OF THIS KIND OF STUFF? They make $20K a year off of me to do nothing, and then I pay another $5K to $15K or whatever for every medical issue that comes up in my family.

I almost can't figure out what I'm paying these clowns for. They take and take and take and don't give anything in return. Not even talking about cost coverage, they won't even manage the paperwork. For every single procedure you need done, they will do everything they can to find a loophole to get out of paying for it.

It's hard to imagine feeling any sympathy for anyone involved with that trash company and the trash politicians that are in bed with them. These people are no better than those running the drug cartels. Selling their souls.
