Sadducees. Bronco often made derogatory comments about fans (sometimes subtle, sometimes not so subtle). He's the antithesis of Kalani, who is always praising BYU fans.
Bronco did a lot of good. Good coach. Loved the firesides - but even then Bronco would sometimes make comments that were subtle attacks on fans who were not 100% behind his every call. I think Bronco comes across as a bit "holier than thou" and that his approach to the BYU/Utah rivalry was dumb.
Bronco is now on his fourth HC job in the past 8 years (which includes a couple year hiatus - okay, in fairness, it's his fourth HC job in 19 years, since he began as HC at BYU in 2005). He doesn't have the staying power of Lavell or Kalani.
Bronco had a great record and inspired his team to play at a high level. But, he did not really care to embrace the fans. He gave the subtle double finger to BYU fans and people got tired of it.
He'll be embraced at USU and will do a great job. But, if he gets questioned or criticized by admin or fans - Bronco will not take it well and he may move for HC job no. 5 or retire again.
