Are the coaches responsible for or could control
The way one of two plays went in a close game where we ended up winning some and losing some. That's how it goes. Look at the great games over the years that BYU has won with a one play difference.

BYU has won some close games but we have lost some hard fought close games.

What the players do on the field is not something the coaches can control. It's a game played by the players. They are prepared and trained by the coaches but still they make mistakes or fail to make a play.

When you look at a team that was expected to only win 4 or maybe 5 games in the tough Big 12 this year but they won their first nine games and nearly won the next two but had heartbreaking losses and then won their last game to go 10-2 for the season, that is a huge accomplishment for those coaches and players.

BYU just barely failed to get into the CCG. Almost got a shot at the college football playoffs. So close we were. That's rarefied air up there.Just a play or two and those losses would have been wins. There are a lot of good teams with a lot of good coaches and players fighting to win their way into the CCG.

At least BYU will be going to a pretty prestigious bowl game. Play another team who almost had a magical season.

The coaches make a lot of money but it's a hard job. If we could find better coaches we'd have them. Teams that go 10-2 or better in the Big 12 have some pretty good coaches and players.
