I guess I'll confess I was sufficiently "dumb" to be surprised by much of this season. If we can get a "Jay Hill" to coach the O, in a couple of years we could be making some noise, but if you didn't see today as the likely result, you're not paying much attention or you're not good at connecting dots.
Still, much, MUCH better season than anybody had a right to expect, courtesy of a very slightly improved O and a miraculously improved D. What Jay Hill has accomplished with the D is one of the best coaching jobs I've ever witnessed in my life. If he can start to get better players, there's no limit to what he can accomplish, seemingly.
