Here's what you do....tie it in with Saint Nicolas Eve. That's like pre-Christmas. Just teach your kids about that
tradition.....have some kind of European theme dinner that night....tie it in with your Euro ancestry(if you have that background)...to make it meaningful.....let them put shoes out in front of a Fire place or your front door.....and you give them a couple small stocking filler like gifts/treats and mix in the subwoofers too. Then it doesn't have to feel like you just took a present out early...and you get a new tradition to boot. And it doesn't really matter the date because it's celebrated on various days anyway. You'll be a tad early, but fair play.
