Imagine 50 years ago that someone would say the following about BYU athletics:
- The best head coach in the NFL played football at BYU.
- The coach of the #1 ranked college team in the country used to play QB at BYU.
- That coach's former BYU teammate is coaching BYU to the top of the Big 12 standings and they are knocking on the door of the Top 10.
- BYU's basketball coach left for Kentucky, but his replacement turned down an NBA HC job in order to take the BYU job.
- BYU basketball recruited two potential first round picks in their freshman class; one is from Russia, and the other is from Atlanta.
Sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy the good times while they're here. Could we be witnessing a repeat of the early 80s period in BYU sports? If you haven't already it might be a good time to donate some money to BYU athletics.
