The more college football I watch, the less I know about what...
constitutes pass interference and what constitutes holding.

Watched the 2nd half of the Utah game. On Utah INT in the endzone Arizona receiver was literally pushed down while the ball was in the air. No call. INT stands. Arizona played great pass defense, but several times it really looked like they made contact with the Utah receivers before the ball arrived. No calls.

On one play late in the game when Utah was on offense a Utah player had his arms completely wrapped around an Arizona player trying to get to the QB. No flag.

I wanted Utah to lose this game, and I'm glad they did. And I don't think the officiating affected the outcome of the game. But it's really frustrating when calls--or no calls--for PI or holding are so inconsistent that you never know what calls are going to be made or not made. I'll bet every team in every game they play can look back at a handful of calls (or no calls) that the officials got wrong.

I'd like coaches to be able to challenge those kind of calls. And rather than have a replay official in the booth making the determination, I'd like to see college football utilize a system like they use for major league baseball when they call into a replay center and have experts with no connection to either team make the final call.
