He has been hell bent on self destruction for about a year. I cannot count the number of police officers I have had in my house during this time because of him. He wants to be free so he will disappear from our home for multiple days, then turn up stoned or with bodily injuries. My wife and I are stressed to the end of our wits. He was just last week suspended from school for a year because he had his third offense of having a THC dispo on campus.
Well a facility is finally willing to take him. I guess he got bad enough for them to take action. They tell us he will be there for 3-6 months. He so needs this. I am crying with sadness, relief, and happiness right now. For the last 4 years we have been working in conjunction with his therapist to do everything we can to just keep him out of prison when he gets older. But this last few months that has changed. Now we are just hoping he is still alive to reach adulthood.

Thanks CB for letting me get this off my chest. It is just such a relief right now knowing he won’t be living (by his own choice) on the streets for this next period of his life.
