Tough to survive on 100k on the coasts. $300k would get you a 500 SF studio apt
I mean, you could survive, but it would be really tough to have kids play sports, take a modest vacation in the summer, live in a decent house that isn't 90 minutes from downtown.
Tough, but I suppose doable if you are willing to live in a tiny house, in sub-optimal schools, far from work.
