The aspect of this season that just continues to crop up is the way that injuries (Concussion for Fryer, ACL Walbruch, ACL Warner, Mono Bailey, Back Dixon) have robbed the team of the experienced players who would balance out the mistakes by talented but inexperienced Freshman and unproven Sophomores. Dixon starts to shine and get more minutes thank to injury and then she gets hurt!

The funny part is that, at some positions, there have been sparks that showed the talent waiting to shine and at others it has exposed some unpleasant missing pieces where the players farther down the depth chart show why they are farther down the depth chart. Some of them, in years past, would never have seen the field.

A worrisome aspect of the current roster is that there won't be a graduating class really and that means that there are super talented players at the HS level who may get passed over due to roster clutter on the team now? That hit me last night as I watched a couple of players flounder. I'm not expert on who will be the high flyers for Rockwood and Co. to recruit, but with only Warner graduating...there won't be a lot of empty slots will there?? Yikes...
