why it couldn’t work.
The important thing is to be there for your wife and kid. As President McKay said, “no worldly success can compensate for failure in the home.”
If you and your wife feel that traveling together is time well spent, then go for it, especially if the pay is 80% more.
Other things to consider:
1. If the lifestyle doesn’t work out as you think it would, could you get your original job, or a similar job, back? Basically, could you confidently find another job if it doesn’t work out after a few months?
2. This is totally personal, but if you’re wanting to have another kid soonish, then that’s something to consider. Traveling so much with 2 kids, let alone 1, can be very difficult and that traveling lifestyle with your wife and kids would most likely quickly come to an end.
