that she isn't a sports fan. I think she chose BYU because she is a BYU alum and is from Utah county but what she is saying could be said about any fan base. I'm sure my wife, who is also not a sports fan at all, thinks it's weird when BYU losses ruin my weekend, or when I decide not to go antiquing because there is a game on. To me the article was kinda weird and felt, just, weird haha. That being said, she is hilarious and I have loved every single one of her other articles. She is very witty and funny. I highly recommend reading her other stuff.
