Look, I think BYU clearly should have gotten invited to the PAC and was obviously deserving. But not sure that would have changed the ultimate outcome.

Biggest problem was that USC (primarily, but maybe Oregon) wanted more money for their outsized value, and so when they couldn't get unequal revenue shares, they blocked any expansion for the PAC so the media rights wouldn't be reupped and instead made a deal to jump ship to more money. At least that's how I understand it.
