If Roberts had kept the bunt on and the lead runner was out, yes that is on the
player not getting the job done.

When you have a runner on 1st and 2nd and zero outs and the top of the order coming up, and it just happens to be the reining MVP from the AL and a guy who has hit 50 HR and stolen 50 bases this year, you bunt and take the out.

Rojas hasn't been bad this year, but you have to let Ohtani and others bat. Sorry but this is on Roberts and his desire to not risk the lead runner being thrown out at 3rd instead of Rojas at 1st. You still have 1 out and runners on 1st and 2nd and Ohtani and then Betts coming up.

He is afraid to take an out to get your best hitters up, who in their right mind doesn't do that? No other manager on any team doesn't bunt.
