the students to form a players union. Only then can they collectively agree to not get the outside money. If there is no collective bargaining agreement, then schools can’t tell the athletes they aren’t allowed to earn NIL money outside of the school’s control.

So schools can give the kids extra, but they can’t really regulate the outside money.
