I would love to hear what the Oregon players were actually thinking.
In the full video, Erick Dargan is chasing Clay all the way to the end zone, sees him drop the ball, but nonchalantly slows down, runs well past the ball, turns around, walks back to the ball, picks it up like he's just trying to be helpful, glances at the sideline ref, then immediately starts to run with it. A Utah player right next to him figures out what's going on and tries to stop him, stripping the ball (so now two fumbles on the play) but by then it's 3-on-1 and another Oregon player (Joe Walker) grabs the ball and starts to run. 3-4 more Oregon players arrive and they all turn around and block for him all the way to the other endzone.
Dargan's smart **and sneaky** fumble recovery to avoid drawing attention to himself has always been my favorite part of the whole play (although it's definitely hard to beat watching a Utah player do such a simultaneously arrogant and boneheaded thing in the first place).
