I posted that my hip surgery was delayed because of my saying I had occasional angina and the anesthesiologist wanting a stress test / more heart data to approve of me doing surgery. I'm seeing my cardiologist today but in the past have been unable to do a treadmill test due to my bum hip. I was thinking about asking if a heart CT / calcium scan would work for his purposes. I remember body scans were all the rage a few years ago, but some complained about false positives / people worrying about possibly insignificant issues showing up. Thought I'd ask the CB brain trust if they're generally a positive, and for those who may know, if this is even a relevant test for what the anesthesiologist was looking for.
