A bit later my daughter came out of a basement bedroom and said “Dad! I found a cat!” Oh yay, good news.

Then she continued “and she’s had five kittens and they’ve been living in this closet!” Oh… not yay. Those kittens were at least two weeks old. That bedroom closet is going to need a good scrubbing.
