Some tips for any of you who may be going to girls camp as priesthood leaders:
1) don’t bring your teenage//early 20s son along. This isn’t for him, and it will be awkward

2) if he DOES come, tell him that the activities and devotional aren’t for him, and that nobody cares what he has to say

3) ideally don’t bring your dogs. But if you DO, don’t take the fan (than someone else brought) and point it at your dogs instead of letting the group of girls use it while it’s 95°

4) when the food is ready, don’t go eat first. This goes for your son too

5) at least TRY to be helpful. You’re not going there to sit in a camp chair and watch the YW leaders work all day.

6) if there’s a big storm in the middle of the night, consider leaving your tent and helping the women and girls collect things that need to be protected from the rain. Nobody is impressed by your ability to “ride it out” in your tent

7) see #5 again - find ways to be helpful, and remember the whole point of the week is about the girls.
