With all the national insiders I've seen on Lanier, only McCombs has gotten it right every time.

First, it was, Lanier is down to UK and Tennesee, but McCombs reported BYU was in the mix. And BYU was in the mix the whole time.

Then it was, UK is in the lead at 40%, Tennessee at 35, and BYU at 25% (Trilly Donovan), but McCombs reported it was Tennessee, BYU then Kentucky.

"One industry source familiar with the situation told me earlier this week he believed BYU was right behind Tennessee and ahead of Kentucky. It’s unclear to me at this time what these visits say about the pecking order of those 3 schools. That order could have changed in the last few days."

And now Kentucky has dropped out of the race.

Tennessee fans are now discounting BYU and saying he's clearly going to Tennessee, but McCombs reported that BYU is right there with Tennessee. We'll see if KY can make up some ground in the final few days and land Lanier.
