Just had a Dr. who is a member of the LDS church stop by our chapel to check on some people who are staying here.

He told us that yesterday he was helping with the rescues and he saw at least 40 bodies floating in the water. Media is reporting 80 or so confirmed deaths but my guess is the death toll is well over a thousand and will continue to climb. Gut wrenching to see the devastation.

In the midst of this all I have witnessed miracles and heartwarming sacrifices. Such an exhausting mix of emotions.
