I’m sitting at the Mountain America Expo Center with every other teacher and administrator in the district for a welcome back to school PD.

I hate how much money has to have been spent on this. We rented the expo center. We hired, flew in, and housed 3 speakers from across the country (the current one is from Virginia and is taking the missionary discussions). In addition, they are feeding each of us lunch (around 3500) and took us away from our classrooms where we could get actual work done getting ready for the school year.

I’m in favor of the text hike (it directly benefits me), but if we are telling the community we are short on money we need to make sure we are spending our current money on the most important things. I love teaching and working for JSD, but this ticks me off.

Oh yea, and if I hear the phrase “Noble Profession” one more time I’m going to throw something.
