Or "typical BYU Fan" in the eyes of most UU fans. Just looking at the situation, looking at the profile. Some white dude in his mid 50s, blonde wife, young kids all dressed up, "professional" job, churches website listed on his social media, probably lives in Utah (while claiming to be so "diverse"), all while poking fun of someone elses shortcomings that they have overcome. This is the textbook stereotype that UU fans have towards BYU fans.
The guy is probably the EQ president in his ward and gave a lesson on repentance last week.
If utes are honest with themselves, outside of taking his side because he took a jab at Max Hall, this clown is EXACTLY what many of them picture BYU fans being.
Don't get me wrong, his "profile" is like many of ours, but the actions that he does while at the same time, proclaiming to be a follower of Christ are completely different and a HUGE turn off. This is exactly the guy that you would meet and think hes a nice guy, then you learn more about his weird passion/hate level and realize that he only has very young kids, who have very little real world issues (addiction, and alike) and paints the world in such a black and white/good vs bad view. Very minimal real world experience outside of what he sees in his little bubble. Life will slap him in the face eventually, like it does many of us.
This guy is the perfect example of why I would find it hard to live in Utah. I honestly don't know how you guys deal with them.
