Has anyone successfully gotten back to piano after abandoning it as a kid?
Knowing the demographic of this board, I can say with confidence that at least 25% of you took piano lessons until you were 12 years old and then quit.

I am one of you.

I'm now interested in taking lessons again, aspiring to be able to improvise off lead sheets and play hymns out of the standard hymnbook. Have any of you pulled such a comeback as an adult? If so, what did you find was the key to your success, and what resources did you use? Online lessons? In person lessons? Learning from books?
