I'm not talking about this kid's behavior, and certainly not defending it. I'm talking about CB's -- both the site's and most of the commenters' -- response, which has been distinctively uncharitable and gone well beyond "good fun."

The fact that this guy has seemingly dug himself a deeper hole does not require that you joyously begin shoveling more dirt.
