I was there right before the switch to navy blue. Navy blue dominated the stands
Some die-hard fans may prefer royal blue, but the majority of the stands were navy blue.
Navy outsold royal by a wide margin in the bookstore and I think that was a major factor in the decision to switch.
Many people just do not want to wear royal blue.
