was much of any increase in SOS even in his 3rd season as their DC (absolutely terrible year for the PAC), when their D regressed for the 3rd year in a row. The increase in SOS after his 3rd season would be notable if their D hadn't already been regressing for three years straight.
As far as what this thread within a thread is about, it is directly about comparing Howell to Sitake and, for me at least, how neither one has a resume yet for even applying to be the DC at a top 15 program, much less the HC at BYU. I have defended Howell's resume (to some extent) against ox's crusade against him, that is true, but I have nowhere at any time even hinted that Howell's current resume was worthy of future HC talk. I don't understand how you think I have.
