don't mean much without knowing what their sources are. If they are all from donors or from oil or something else, they do not represent revenue that would be added to the conference. If they are revenues that come from sources that would add to polled conference revenue that would be a different story.

It is actually impossible to say anything about what TCU or BYU would bring to a conference from these numbers, as the pooled revenue that each team brings to the Mountain West conference is divided amongst all the members of the mountain west conference. The revenue from the conference that goes to each school (BYU and TCU) is probably pretty comparable. In fact, through conference revenue sharing, BYU is probably subsidizing TCU to some extent.
