That was my initial thought. They were tired, which led to the poor shooting.
But that shouldn’t have been the case. In the ISU game, 7 players played 21 minutes or less. Only Saunders, Keita and Hall played more than 21 minutes against ISU, and they all played around 25 minutes. That’s the benefit of depth, right? Nobody is forced to play too many minutes.
So being tired shouldn’t have been the case. So why the poor shooting? I guess great defense by UH. The shooting by BYU against ISU was unreal. I can’t see BYU duplicating that, no matter who they were playing. Playing UH just made it tougher.
