This may have already been posted, but I didn't see it on the board (possibly blind?) Bret faxed his free agent contract this afternoon. He will be heading to Oakland pretty soon- as camp begins next week.

Typically, $2,500 is the signing bonus for an undrafted free agent. If he makes the team, $225k or $250K is the minimum salary.

In looking at the 3 QB's with Oakland, I think Bret has a good chance. They have Gannon, Tuiasosopo, and Mirer. If the Raiders sign Mirer they will have to pay like $1 Million. I would much rather pay Engemann for $250K for similar talent. Mirer hasn't done much in the NFL. Anyway- just some thoughts.

Jolley and Rykert are both really good friends of Bret and will help him feel comfortable. The Raiders have told Bret they feel he is a steal- of course, for only $2,500 (plus expenses) most players are a steal. I wish him luck. He is a good guy.
