1st off, I don’t know if he cheated.NIL money, scholarship, less stress help her
I have no clue about the gossip stuff, and I am not going to take anything I read on Cougar Board or social media, as fact. Until BYU makes some sort of announcement or there is some sort of proof, I will just go with that he felt he needed a change to help his future or he felt that he was not going to be able to beat out Damuni or the other young corners and safeties. Just like Harper, he and the coaches had their conversations and it may have been his choice or a mutually beneficial decision, but I am not going to waste my time with manufactured outage over something that is likely not real.
As for good wife, the question and topic that I originally responded to, how is it so hard to understand going from walk-on to recruited veteran portal transfer is going to greatly enhance their lives? Let’s see, you no longer have to both work full time since your husband will now be receiving both his schooling, a housing allowance, free food, and a monthly stipend enhanced due to being married. If they have kids or want to have kids, they can now have more free time that he can help his wife, because any free time he has does not end up with him working to pay the rent and pay the bills.
The athlete wives have to manage everything at home, and if BYU couldn’t give him a scholarship and he couldn’t get the NIL deals they used to convince to go to Purdue, then I wish him nothing but the best. I liked Wakely and the way he played the game for BYU. He always played hard, was fast, position sound, and rarely got beat. I wanted him back, and was still hoping he would come back after the bowl game. He earned the right to be paid, just like anyone else behind him on scholarship, and BYU should have given him that scholarship going into this season.
