what you say may be absolutely true, but my butt tells me when I'm towing
there's a LOT less gear hunting with my Allison 10 speed than there was with my GMC 6 speed.
With a mere 2000 miles on my 2500HD, I like the 10 speed much better. Maybe that will change with "the passage of time".

Just to be clear, your 6 speed was an Allison. The 10 is all GM.

nope, my GMC didn't say Allison on it, this Chevy says it clearly on the fender.
