Instead of getting the ball back with a chance to pull within one score, Wakley's penalty enabled TCU to score again and take a 31-8 lead into the locker room. It was a stupid penalty by Wakley - not just to taunt in general, but to think that taunting when down 24-8 would have made sense even if it hadn't been flagged."
