Less party options are near San Jose Del Cabo. Also closer to the airport. We love Hyatt Ziva. There’s a Marriott in Pueeto Los Cabos and several other all inclusives. We love to go to the art walk on Thursday in the town square. Lots of good places to eat as well.
Resorts closest to Cabo San Lucas tend to be older and also more expensive. But that’s the big tourist magnet. Lots of bars and clubs around the harbor. I’ve stayed at the Riu all inclusive and it was decent and almost walking distance into Cabo along the famous Medano beach.
Newest and nicest resorts are between San Jose and Cabo near Chileno Bay (one of the few swimming approved beaches in Cabo) Garza blanco and solaz are two pricey but spectacular resorts. Dreams is in the same area and it’s less expensive but still decent.
North of Cabo on the pacific coast is Pueblo Bonito. A very nice resort with something for the whole family. We have a place at Diamante that’s also north not Cabo. There’s no hotel there but easy to rent condos and homes. Very quiet and secluded from the Cabo riff raff. Tons of stuff for kids. Great golf also if you’re a golfer.
