There was not all that much build up to the finance. I definitely got more of a paternal concern from Walt in regards to Vic for most of the series. That’s what made it seem so much more like he was dating his daughter.

Also did not help that Cassidy Freeman (Cady) is only two years younger than Kaitee Sackoff (Vic) and Cady was a very visible measuring stick to compare Vic to.
