I surprised my boys with tickets to the MNF game next week in Santa Clara. I bought them when I was thinking 9ers would at least be in the playoffs. I almost took my kids to the playoff game last year, and I didn't. We've never been to a Pro game together. So anyway, we're off to a meaningless game. My oldest will be on a mission next year.

In a way, we'll just go and enjoy being together with my dad, and my bro-in-law and nephews, and my two boys who are pretty awesome at football. Stress free, nothing to lose.

The boys were ecstatic and grateful this morning, opening their Fred Warner and Brock Purdy jerseys when they saw their tickets to the game. Great Christmas memory.

Go 9ers. Lions likely to destroy them, but you never know.
