One day when me and my brothers were in our mid to late 20s, we were all arm wrestling. We each had a couple of turns to determine the pecking order of who was the strongest. One of my brothers has always been bigger and tougher than the rest of us. He and my brother in law (who was in the national guard at the time and works security for a living) we’re getting ready to arm wrestle each other when my grandpa walked in, saw what they were doing, and said, “I got the winner.”
They went at it and my BIL came out the winner. So he got the honor of facing our 82 year old grandpa. Grandpa boxed in high school, was a high school shop teacher forever in Salmon, ID and loved working with horses. They started and Grandpa gave a huge push with his arm. I think it caught my BIL off guard a bit because he certainly wasn’t expecting him to be that strong. They pushed and pulled and after a bit Grandpa won. We all just stood there with a look of shock and amazement because my BIL is a pretty big guy. Grandpa acted like it was no sweat. We declared him the winner because none of the rest of us wanted to lose to an 82 year old.
