It has, but that's just fine. The back half of the regular season was more
interesting than any I can recall in 15 years. A 12-team playoff keeps so many more teams engaged until the end.

Almost? Absolutely. They are glorified exhibition games. Basically meaningless. Just tradition at this point.

To be fair, pre playoffs they mattered more. Though most of them were mainly meaningless.
