family. Family by family we put them on the tree. My wife is the oldest of 7 and there are 26 grandchildren, so that's a good 30 minutes. We then open presents from MIL and FIL. There is also a secret santa between the 7 siblings. Those are passed out and opened. We always say we're going to leave by 7 but it's always 10 by the time we get out of there. We then go home and do my own family secret santa sibling gift exchange between my 4 kids. Kids get to bed and then I get to put together a Santa's gift every year while I watch Scrooged. This year it's a fooseball table.
My MIL's parties are all from the 'gram. My wife's youngest sister plans everything so she can get a bunch of likes on IG and Tik Tok. It's maddening and frustrating. "K drink that hot chocolate again, but this time smile. Don't cover your face while eating that cookie this time. Everyone hold....." I don't partake in that crap.
That being said. I always have a good time.
