He couldn’t have posted those numbers over 12 games in 2024 without getting an OC fired. I’m glad he improved a bunch, but he still improved to the point he was a rather middling QB somewhere in the high 50s / low 60s in almost any measurable QB stat.
It’s true every person on the roster went 10-2, so it didn’t much matter that he was average. But it was one of the big differences between a CCG berth and sitting it out, and I’m not sure a QB that prone to errors and that inaccurate can take you to your next step.
Would love for every QB’s trajectory to just be a linear vetical line just like every company’s planning season graphs, but for every John Beck improvement there are also regressions.
