Was 85 scholarship limit before many teams were not above 105-110 during that time including walk ons.

Scholarships now are at 105. So for many teams it means next to nothing.

Many teams only traveled 65-80 for away games anyway. So again probably not going to make a huge difference with 105 on scholarship.

There may be some minor adjustments for some teams and maybe some bigger adjustments for some P4 that rostered 125+ in the past...but in reality it likely spreads out some of that talent to other teams allowing for more balanced competitiveness.
