It will depend on the 10 year old.. and there will have to be some parental supervision/help..
Even the more expensive, lower quality, smaller and slower 'Toybox' 3d printer for kids still requires parents to help.
Where the ToyBox is more of a gimmick... the Bambu Lab A1 Mini is a real 3D printer.
Parents still need to help kids find things to print (on websites), download those files to the printer, load the filament into the printer, and resolve any issues that come up.
IMHO..for $180 (for just the A1 Mini) you are opening your kid's mind to the huge world of engineering and STEM. (worth it).
