Not every 11-1 is equal. 8 home games, pathetic OOC, weak SOS.
We can truly predict exactly home teams will do (hello, Vandy), but we do know that road games are more challenging, as are P4 games.
Teams that don't play 5 road games shouldn't play in the CFP.
Conferences that don't play 9 game conference schedule should only get the conference champ in the CFP.
